How to reach us

FROM ITALY BY CAR

From Milan
Eastern ring road to Lecco. When you’re near Lecco, take the lakeside road (the lake will be to your right) and continue towards Bellagio without crossing the Lecco bridge. After 20 km, you will see a white town sign that reads “Bellagio”. Continue for 2 more km until you find a no entry and turn left sign. You are now on Viale Domenico Vitali. Continue to the next crossroads and turn left. After approximately 6 km, you’ll encounter the white Lezzeno sign. Continue for another kilometre, until you see the Hotel Aurora sign.

From Rome/Florence/Bologna
A9 Motorway to Como, take the Como Sud exit and follow the directions to Como Centro, and then to Bellagio. You will drive for approximately 26 km with the lake always to your left. You’ll find the first Lezzeno town sign and after 6 km Hotel Aurora.

From Venice/Brescia/Bergamo
Direction Lecco. When you’re near Lecco, take the lakeside road (the lake will be to your right) and continue towards Bellagio without crossing the Lecco bridge. After 20 km, you will see a white town sign that reads “Bellagio”. Continue for 2 more km until you find a no entry and turn left sign. You are now on Viale Domenico Vitali. Continue to the next crossroads and turn right. After approximately 6 km, you’ll encounter the white Lezzeno sign. Continue for another kilometre, until you see the Hotel Aurora sign.

 

FROM ITALY WITH OTHER MEANS

From Como and Lecco with public transport: There are different ways to get to Lezzeno. 

From Como by bus: Bus no. 30 www.sptlinea.it Lezzeno leaves from the bus station next to the Como San Giovanni railway station. The bus also stops at the Como Lago railway station. You can buy tickets at the bus station. The first bus leaves at 6.25 and the last, at 20.14

From Como by Hydrofoil or boat www.navigazionelaghi.it (the hydrofoil is the Lake’s quickest and most expensive means of public transport). Go to the Lake Como Navigation pier. Remember to buy the ticket before you board the boat or hydrofoil. The first hydrofoil leaves at about 7.33 am. The last hydrofoil leaves at 19.10. A ticket costs € 15.00 per person. 

From Lecco by bus: The bus station from where the LBE Lecco-Bellagio bus leaves www.lineelecco.it is located on the railway station square. You can buy tickets at the bus station. You’ll get to Bellagio, in front of the post office where Bus n. 30 to Como www.sptlinea.it leaves. You can buy your ticket to Lezzeno at the tobacco shop (tabaccheria) in Salita Serbelloni. Warning: the last bus to Aurora Hotel leaves at 18.55. After that time, the only option is to take a taxi at the boat arrivals. It will cost you € 20.00. 

From Lecco, you can get to Lezzeno even by train from the Varenna-Esino Lario railway station www.trenitalia.com . Please keep in mind that the trains that stop in Varenna refer to the Milan Sondrio-Tirano route. Once in Varenna, you will have to cross the lake to get to Bellagio www.navigazionelaghi.it 

To get to the pier from the Varenna railway station, you can take a taxi from the station square (it will cost you approximately € 7) or you can walk. Once you’re outside the station, turn left and go down the stairs, or take the main road if you want to avoid them. Turn right until you reach the crossroads with the main road (there’s a bar at the corner on the right). Turn left, cross the road and follow the road on the right, which will take you to the lake. Here you can take the boat or ferry. Both take about 15 minutes. Once at the pier, go to the post office from where Bus n. 30 to Como www.sptlinea.it leaves. You can buy your ticket to Lezzeno at the tobacco shop (tabaccheria) in Salita Serbelloni. Warning: the last bus to Aurora Hotel leaves at 18.30. After that time, the only option is to take a taxi at the boat arrivals. It will cost you € 20.00.

 

From Malpensa

By car (about 1h and 18 minutes) 80 km
Take the A8/E62 towards MILAN (toll road) and follow the signs to COMO-CHIASSO. Take the A9/E35 (toll road) and the COMO NORD exit. Continue direction COMO.
Take SS 583 to Bellagio. After 26 km you’ll get to Lezzeno. Hotel Aurora is after the church. Free car park and garage.

Public transport
From Malpensa Terminal 1 (if you arrive at Terminal 2, there’s a bus to terminal 1 every 15 minutes), take the Malpensa Express to Saronno and change for Como Lago (Trenord)

Options for getting to Lezzeno

Bus (approx. 1 hour) : C30 to Bellagio outside the station (take the exit to the Lake). Get your ticket before boarding the bus. You can buy tickets at the bus station for € 3.00 per person. There’s a bus every hour from 6.35 to 20.14.

Hydrofoil (approx. 35 minutes): departure from Piazza Cavour on the left of the station (with the lake on the right). The price is approximately € 15 per person  http://www.navlaghi.it/eng/com/ . Stop in Lezzeno and walk approximately 500 m (5 minutes) with the lake on your left Hotel Aurora on your right.

From Linate

By car (about 1h and 23 minutes) 78 km
Take the Eastern Ring Road A51 and then the A52 to Turin-Como-Lecco. Take the Lecco/Monza SS36 Valmadrerae exit and keep driving towards Bellagio with the lake on your right. Once in Bellagio, take the SS583 to Como. Lezzeno will be the first town you encounter and you’ll get to Hotel Aurora shortly afterwards.

Public transport
From the airport, take the bus to Milano Centrale (every 20-30 minutes) www.starfly.net
From the central station, take the train to Como San Giovanni www.trenitalia.com and then Bus C30 to Bellagio (Bus C30 Como-Bellagio timetables). Get your ticket before boarding the bus. You can buy them at the bar or the newsagent inside the station. Tickets cost approximately € 3.00 per person. There’s a bus every hour from 6.35 to 20.14 www.sptlinea.it

From Orio al Serio

Bergamo: 1 hour and 27 minutes, 65 km
Take the SS671 to Lecco, then SS342 and SS639 .
Once in Lecco, follow the signs to Bellagio with the lake on your right. Once in Bellagio, take the SS583 to Como. Lezzeno will be the first town you encounter and you’ll get to Hotel Aurora shortly afterwards.

Public transport
Take the bus to Bergamo railway station and then the train to Varenna Esino www.trenitalia.com
Once in Varenna, take the ferry to Bellagio http://www.navlaghi.it/eng/com/ and then the bus to Lezzeno (C30 bus to Como). The stop is in front of the post office, at the ferry arrivals (www.sptlinea.it
You can buy the tickets at the tobacco shop (tabaccheria) in Salita Serbelloni. The last bus is at 18.55.
